The University of Rochester’s Memorial Art Gallery has put together a fun little online program of animated shorts, titled Melting Animals. Seeking to “inspire younger audiences through the mind-expanding experience of cinema,” the selections are focused on digital and handmade animation rather than drawn works, with the shorts featuring objects in motion and abstract visuals. It’s a wonderful way to introduce kids to a wider range of animation, with works by the likes of brilliant indie animators such as Jodie Mack.

All films in the program are completely free to stream.

When: December 12, 2020–January 4, 2021
Where: Online
