I went out for a walk after dinner tonight, and it seems that there are some dueling holiday decorations in the local neighbors’ yards. Within the course of a half hour walk, I experienced Halloween (below left), Thanksgiving (below right), and some of the first Christmas decorations in the neighborhood (bottom). No Christmas inflatables yet, but two different houses with Christmas lights, to counter the remaining Halloween ghouls, pumpkins, and a few turkeys. Meanwhile, it was 75 degrees on this 8th day of November, and I spent the afternoon at the beach, pretending it was summer. Yes, these are confusing times.
